The Question

Do you believe in everything you hear?Do you think when you tell someone that you believe in ghosts they believe you?Well everybody has their own opinion. But there is many things that can bug people. In this book I'm reading The Weekend Was Murder by Joan Lowery Nixon. It has many problems between characters. But there is only one problem . They don't believe.

The main character which is Mary Elizabeth never actually believed in ghosts. but when she actually runs into one. She gets freaked out. But her friend always is the one that told her that ghosts are real. Not until she saw that ghost she believed in ghosts. With her history of murderer people in the same hotel she has the experience. Not a very good ending. In  this book the characters have to go through many different faces.  By that I mean that through the whole book it is not only a happy mood. Like a face it changes into a lot of expressions. In this book there is so many situations

The point of this book is actually not a start forward meaning. The real question is "Do you believe?". Not in only ghosts but in many other things in this world.Do you believe?

The Reality of Books

I've been reading a lot of scary, horror, and mystery books. That started something in my brain. the books always have almost like the same plots. But characters always have different decisions. The different decisions make me wonder. How many ways can you make an ending so good but with the same plot that other books have? Books always have delicious ending.

The book that really got me thinking was "Murder my Sweet " by Joan Lowery Nixon. She is a very good author. Joan made a very good plot in the book. Which had good background information. The book has two main characters(all least that is what I think). The names were Mrs.Jake(mom) and Jenny (daughter). Jenny goes through a great adventure with her mom. Her mom is a mystery writer with books. But when it comes to solve a real murder. Mrs.Jake needs help. So Jenny ends up helping her mom. She is the"brainy".

Through that whole book you enter some mysteries you can solve yourself. The danger Jenny and Mrs.Jake faces in the book can happen in real life. But the "delicious ending" was amazing. It came to my mind. Why can't the mysteries in the book have the same amazing characters in real life? I would love to live through a mystery any day.

When You reach Me By Rebecca Stead

This book is very connective. By that, what I mean is when Rebecca Stead started writing this book she made an outline of its supposed to be laid out. She made the connections not just starting out with the book and ending it the way it ended. Everything in her book connected. There was no point in the book where you said "Ah , that doesn't make any sense". If you reread the sentence a couple of times you see that everything makes sense. The book altogether is put together and very carefully using and putting hints of what will happen in the book. but putting it out in a way that you just speed through it without noticing. But it is really inspiring to see a book all connect together. It just starts off with a 4th grade boy saying something that comes through your brain and goes out right away. Because what you think is that it is not important and its not like its going to come up again. But the weird thing is that eventually you find out that, Its what the whole book is about but in a different way of putting it. That makes me already think of books at a different point of view.

A Stanger with my Face By Louis Duncan

This book is amazing. This books makes me think a lot about mystery books. This is a mystery book and it is the best book I have ever read. the connection I put through book is that some people can get scared of their own reflection. In real life people get scared of looking at them self's a lot. There was a quote in the book that scared me. The quote was It was not until I got under my covers when I realized I was not smiling in my reflection ,when my reflection had my face with a smile . That really scared me because at that scene i thought that something is going to pop out of her reflection but inside the scene author put it out in a smart way. The author put it in as when the scene clams down. The author just puts at least one word in that creates a new sensation in that scene.this book made me think of a lot of connections in the book with real settings in the book.Just like in class my teacher gave us an example of a blog post. the way she connects every small detail to her hometown(Ohio). The books gives you a feeling of true and deep thinking about what you are reading. that can be hard to understand. The books inspire you to think more deeply because the books may have a very deep meaning and you would only you t be paying any attention. So the conclusion of what im trying to say is that each book has its own surprises.
